What is the Open Innovation Hackathon 2024?

The Open Innovation Academy Hackathon is an extended educational event aimed at sparking entrepreneurial spirit and promoting innovation.

Participants will tackle real-world challenges set by industry partners, honing essential skills and exchanging experiences on a global scale.

This hackathon integrates cutting-edge methodologies while offering an immersive learning experience.

Individuals can also join independently to access educational materials.

Participants will engage with real-world problems from partner companies and utilize the EIT Manufacturing Academy’s e-learning platform.

The program focuses on leadership, teamwork, entrepreneurship, technology transfer, and innovation management, providing a well-rounded education.

Why participate?

Participants will receive complimentary access to educational modules on the EIT Manufacturing Academy e-learning platform, with an estimated value of €8,000.

These modules are designed for personal use, enabling participants to complete them at their own pace.

How to participate

Register for the hackathon

2) Join the 2 highly recommended live sessions

It is strongly recommended that all teams attend the full program, especially the following key sessions:

  • 20 September 2024 - Team Formation and Challenge Introduction: Opening program and challenge presentation.

  • 29 November 2024 - Grand Finale: Final presentations, lessons learned, feedback, and next steps.

Individuals who are registered but not fully participating in the hackathon challenges are also encouraged to join these live sessions.

 3) Create or join a team and submit your initial idea

Until the ❌ registration and team formation phase closes, you can connect with other participants through this platform.

You'll have the opportunity to form or join a team and collaborate to develop the idea you’ll work on during the hackathon.
